So you have been wondering if you should go in for dental implants, but were a bit worried if getting dental implants placed will hurt, or that the implants would give you pain afterwards.
You are awake and well aware of your surroundings, but the local anesthetic keeps the area around the tooth numbed, so you do not feel much. Of course, because the complicated procedure with all the tools involved is all happening right in front of you, you naturally feel an imagined pain, on top of the dull ache that could be real.
That said, dental implanting is a complex procedure, so it does hurt a bit, which you will notice soon after the operation is complete. You will also have some discomfort for some days afterwards. Carefully follow your dentist’s instructions after the surgery. Take your antibiotics and analgesics according to the doctor’s advice at regular intervals. If you think it hurts a bit too much or if you are getting too worried about any lingering pain, see your dentist at once.
